Koto nodded back when Zhao left. He watched the Airbender walk straight over to Zhi, but turned his head away when he saw her turn to look at him. He looked down at Ani. "So, do you know what's going to be for breakfast?" he asked. "I'm starving!" She smiled, showing a few missing teeth.

"Me too! They'll probably have some fruits from the garden, and rice. Oooh, and they might have some wind-pies!" she said. Koto smiled, but was mentally ticking off things in his head. There's no meat, he thought. Maybe it's just this morning. Surely they eat meat... He was just about to ask Ani when one of the guides came in ask told the APPA students it was time to move on to breakfast. Some of the Airbenders followed, and Ani grabbed Koto's hand. He bent and picked her up, smiling.

"Are you going to be my tour guide, Ani?" he asked. She nodded and they walked on to the wide, open dining hall.

((Okay, we're gonna do a bit of a time-skip!))

After the sadly meat-free breakfast, Ani had to leave to her classes but Koto promised he'd show her some Waterbending later if she'd show him some of her Airbending. The tour went on, and they saw most of the Temple, except for the family areas and where the older Monks lived. Koto was given a small room to himself. There were a lot of vacant rooms, even though the population of Air Nomads had grown over the years. Koto was given an extra blanket for Urahara, but he knew he was going to share his bed, like he did at home.

Then it was time for dinner. Koto was told to dress in his most traditional Northern Watertribe clothes, so he did: his blue parka, black trousers, his tunic and some seal-skin boots. He put on his Arctic Leopard-tooth necklace that his father had given him, and tied a pole-eagle feather into his hair on the side.

The dining hall was elaborately decorated to receive all the nations, and a large (and Koto noticed again) meat-free feast had been prepared. Koto was ushered in and found himself sitting right next to Zhi. She looked radiant, with her hair even more elaborately done into a delicate top-knot.

"Hi!" he said, smiling, and looking at her. "I don't suppose you've seen any meat around here..." He sighed and looked at the dishes. Vegetables, rice, noodles and fruits. A monk stood and gave a short speech about connections and international relations. Koto didn't listen to a lot of it... he was taking in all the Airbenders and their formal wear, and the traditional clothes of the other nations. They were all so colorful!
